When you first open Paichal Calculator, you'll see a clean interface ready for action. But wait - you don't have any events yet! Don't worry, this is completely normal for new users.

Launch the Paichal Calculator app on your Android or Windows device.
Look for the yellow button on the home screen to start your first bull race event.
Enter the Event Name, Location, and Date. Choose between "Normal" or "Main" event type.

When you see the "No Event Selected" dialog, follow these steps:

Normal Event vs Main Event
Choosing the right event type is crucial for managing your organizer slots and accessing advanced features.
Normal Event
Purpose: Regular practice races, local competitions
Creation Limits:
- Free User: Up to 5 events
- PRO User: Unlimited events

Purpose: Official competitions, championship races

- Free User: 1 active Main Event

If you reach your limit, older events become "Unused". You can either delete old events to free up slots, or upgrade to PRO to manage as many championships as you want simultaneously.
⏱️ Recording Race Data
🏁 How to record race times:
On the race screen, tap the event dropdown at the top and choose the active competition.
Input the bull’s token number and record the time in seconds (e.g., 12.450) for each round.
Click the 'Update' button. The total time and current rank will be calculated automatically.
Understanding the Fields
Token Number
What it is: Unique identifier for each bull
Format: Any alphanumeric
Examples: 1, A1, BULL-001
Tips: Use consistent format, avoid duplicates, keep it short
Round Times
What it is: Time taken for each round in seconds
Format: Decimal number (e.g., 12.45)
Precision: Up to 3 decimal places
Validation: Must be positive, cannot be zero
Total Time & Rank
Total: Automatic sum of Round 1 + Round 2
Example: 12.45 + 13.20 = 25.65
Rank: Auto-calculated, lower time = better rank
Display: Shows in leaderboard automatically
🔄 Advanced Recording Logic
How Round workflow works:
- Round 1 First: When a bull runs its first lap, enter the Token and Round 1 time only, then click ADD DATA.
- Round 2 Update: When the same bull runs again, enter its Token number and the new time in the Round 2 field, then click UPDATE ROUND 2. The system will automatically find the bull and add the second time to its existing record.
🎫 Handling Duplicate Tokens:
If you need to use the same token number twice for different entries (e.g., a re-run or shared token), Paichal uses a smart indexing method:
If Token "1" already exists and you add it again, the system stores it as 1(1), then 1(2), and so on. This keeps your data unique while allowing you to use the same physical token number.
🎮 Race Board Controls
The race board is your live workspace. Use these controls to navigate and manage your data efficiently.
Event & Division Switching
Switch Event: Use the top-left dropdown to jump between different events (e.g., "Kavanur" to "Madurai").
Sub-Events (D1/D2): Toggle between divisions (Division 1, Division 2) to manage different race categories within the same event.
Record Stats Bar
Located at the top, it shows your Total Records vs your Plan
Limit (e.g., 11/500). This helps you track how much space you have
left.
⌨️ Understanding Buttons
Creates a brand new entry for a bull. Used for the first round.
Searches for an existing token and adds the second round time to it.
Permanently deletes the selected bull record from the current division.
Quickly empties all input fields (Token, Name, Times) so you can type the next one faster.
Exports a backup of your current table state. Highly recommended before making major changes or at the end of a session.
📊 Result Management & Sorting
Once data is added, you can manage the table view and export results for the public.
- SORT DATA Button: Click this at any time to re-organize the table from fastest to slowest. It instantly recalculates the Rank based on Total Time.
- Rows Per Page: Use the footer dropdown to show 10, 20, or 50 bulls at once. Perfect for large events with 100+ entries.

- Print Slip: Give bull owners a physical token receipt with their times.
- Export PDF/Excel: Keep official records for the race committee or government reporting.

Click on your event and navigate to the 'Booking System' tab in the organizer dashboard.
Click 'New Booking', enter the owner's details, phone number, and assign a unique token number.
Once saved, click the 'Print' icon to generate a professional receipt with a QR code for the owner.

🔄 Booking Workflow & Status
Every booking goes through a lifecycle to ensure data accuracy and payment verification.
Pending Bookings
Online registrations start as Pending. Organizers must review these entries and verify payments before approving.
Approved Bookings
Once verified, move the booking to Approved. This officially allocates the token and adds the bull to the race list.
🤝 Direct vs. Online Booking
Direct Booking (Offline): Organizers manually add bull entries via the app dashboard. Perfect for on-spot registrations or cash payments.
Online Booking (Public): Owners register themselves through the event link. They fill their own details and upload payment screenshots for you to review.

Main Event Only
Only Main Events can be shared publicly for online bookings. Normal/Practice events are for private record-keeping only.

At any given time, only one event can have active public bookings enabled to prevent token confusion.

Live Booking Toggle
Use the "Enable Live Booking" switch to start accepting entries. You can Pause it at any time to temporarily stop registrations.
🏁 End-to-End Booking Process
Create a Main Event, configure token ranges, and enable the Live Booking toggle.
Copy the Public Event URL and share it on WhatsApp, Facebook, or your event posters.
As entries arrive, check the 'Pending' list. Review the bull details and owner information.
Mark verified entries as Approved. Print the token slip and the bull is ready for the race!
👥 Staff Management
Purpose: Manage event staff and assign roles
👥 How to manage your team:
Go to the 'Staff' section and enter the name or email of your team member.
Pick a specific role (Timer, Gatekeeper, Auditor) to control what they can see and do.
Once assigned, they can log in on their own device to start contributing to your event.

Purpose: Build a digital identity for your bulls and track their lifetime performance stats.
🐾 Managing Bull Profiles
Click the (+) button in the owner tools menu and enter the ID, Breed, and Age to create a digital card for your bull.
Use the pencil icon to update details or the trash icon to remove a bull. Deleting a bull here does NOT delete its past race records.
📈 Performance Analytics
Analyze speed trends and compare your bulls against each other.
Tick the checkboxes for the bulls you want to analyze. You can select multiple bulls to compare their performance side-by-side.
Select a bull from the dropdown, choose the Village Name, and enter the Time (sec). Click Save Record to add it to the graph.
The system automatically generates a line chart showing speed progression over time. Hover over dots to see specific race times.
🌐 Live Leaderboard & Sharing
Purpose: Broadcast your race results to the world in real-time.

Use the dropdown at the top-left to switch between active Main Events. The leaderboard will instantly reload data for the selected event.
☁️ Sync Button: Manually push specific changes if auto-sync is
delayed.
🔄 Refresh: Reload the latest data from the server.
Live Controls Explained:
- ▶️ Start / Resume: Begins the live data stream. Changes are pushed to the website immediately.
- ⏸️ Pause: Temporarily freezes the public leaderboard. Handy during breaks or disputes.
- ⏹️ Stop / End Post: Finalizes the event stream. The leaderboard creates a permanent "Complete" status.
⚙️ Settings & App Configuration
Purpose: Your command center for managing account statistics, security, layout, and deep file management.
📊 1. Statistics Overview
Get a bird's-eye view of your entire organization history:
Total number of events you have organized.
Total number of bulls ever recorded across all events.
Total times the app was used for active recording.
📂 2. Advanced Saved Files Management
This is where you manage your race data database. Files are grouped by Event Name for easy access.
Within one event (e.g., Kavanur), you can have multiple divisions. Each file shows its record count and creation date.
Active: The event
currently visible on the leaderboard.
Current: The specific
division you are presently editing on the race board.

- ☁️ Cloud Clean: Scans the server for data that doesn't exist locally anymore and removes it to save cloud space.
- 🔄 Refresh: Force-reloads the file list from local storage to ensure you are seeing the latest records.
☁️ 3. Master Sync Status Guide
Access this from Settings → Sync Status to monitor and control your cloud backup.
- Allow Reads: Enable to download data from other devices.
- Allow Writes: Enable to upload your local data to cloud.
- Auto Sync: App automatically uploads changes when online.
Shows real-time counters for Create, Update, and Delete actions currently being pushed to the cloud.
- Clear Cache: Cleans temporary cloud metadata.
- Reset Quota: Resets your daily data transfer counter (Pro users only).
- Queue Status: Shows if any data is still waiting to be uploaded.
- Cloud Clean / Purge: Deletes 100% of your data from the server (Dangerous: use with caution).
Instantly compare your local data against the cloud. You can see exact counts for Events, Race Data Files, and Bull Profiles. A green checkmark means they are perfectly synced.
